AGOS Community · rules
The house rules.
Short, because surfers already know them. Break one and a post goes; break them often and the account goes.
- Be kind, in the water and out of it. No insults, threats, or ganging up on anyone. Disagree about a wave all you like; leave the person out of it.
- Secret spots stay secret. Don't name, pin or describe the way to a spot its locals keep to themselves. Tag a secret spot only if you were invited to it; those posts show only to the people it's shared with.
- Ask before you post someone. A photo of another surfer, a family or a kid needs their OK. If someone asks you to take one down, take it down.
- Keep young surfers safe. Surfers under 18 join with a parent's or guardian's OK, and their posts don't name a spot. There are no private messages on AGOS. Report anything that puts a child at risk.
- Real calls only. A surf check says how it is right now, from the beach. Don't call it flat to keep a crowd away, or good to draw one.
- No selling. Lessons, boards and photos for sale go through their own pages, not the feed.
- Report, don't fight. Every post and comment has Report. Three reports hide it until AGOS looks. We read every report.
AGOS removes posts and accounts that break these rules. Questions? Write to us.
